Isn't it really weird that people usually write their bios in the third person?

I think it's weird.

David Trelles is a well established, Twin Cities based violinist. Inspired by a presentation on Niccolo Paganini at the age of four he begged his parents for lessons until they finally relented at the age of six. Right away, he knew that it was the only thing for him. After receiving an undergraduate and a master's degree in performance he spent the next decade of his life teaching hundreds of students, and giving hundreds of performances in private and public spaces. Now he's expanding his repertoire and pushing the limits to create new performance opportunities in unconventional spaces and reach new audiences.

When really I'm just writing all of this stuff now. And like, it's not like I've never had any other interests than the violin. I was pretty obsessed with baseball for like a long time, and I liked playing video games of all kinds. I really have put in somewhere around 15,000 hours of focused practice on the instrument, and as far as the violin goes I like really silly 18th century virtuosic literature. But on an average day if I'm doing the dishes I'm definitely going to be listening to Wham! I like my kids and my wife, and I really like giving concerts where I get a lot of direct immediate feedback from the audience. If you want a violin guy, Iā€™m your man (Obligatory Wham! reference for the win).
